రూ.9.90 లక్షల కోట్ల రుణాలు రైటాఫ్
తెలంగాణ Telangana News భారత్ ప్రతినిధి : గత ఐదేళ్లలో బ్యాంకులు రూ.9.90 లక్షల కోట్ల రుణాలను రైటాఫ్ చేసినట్టు కేంద్రం నిన్న రాజ్యసభలో వెల్లడించింది. రైటాఫ్ చేసినంత మాత్రానా రుణాలను పూర్తిగా రద్దు చేసినట్టు కాదని లోన్లు తీసుకున్న వారు వాటిని తిరిగి చెల్లించాల్సి ఉంటుందని కేంద్రం చెబుతోంది. బ్యాలెన్స్ షీట్లను మెరుగుపరచడానికి పన్ను ప్రయోజనాలు పొందడానికి బ్యాంకులు రుణాలను రైటాఫ్ చేస్తుంటాయని వివరించింది.
The Center revealed in the Rajya Sabha yesterday that banks have written off loans worth Rs.9.90 lakh crore in the last five years. The Center says that the write-off does not mean that the loans have been completely canceled and the borrowers will have to repay them. It explains that banks write off loans to get tax benefits to improve balance sheets.
